RCRA - RECORDKEEPING > Overview

Nowadays, the media provides a lot of information on how to reduce or minimize the amount of non-hazardous waste a facility may generate. This media focus has led to various voluntary practices on the part of industry, such as programs for recycling, source reduction and other beneficial reuse programs. In addition, under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the EPA established requirements for minimizing and reducing the volume and toxicity of waste generated by large-quantity generators of hazardous waste.

If you are an owner or operator of such a facility, you may be interested in learning about how to reduce hazardous waste there. Continue on in this EVC to learn about requirements and best practices for waste minimization and reduction.
