   Satellite Accumulation Areas (SAAs)

Let's begin by defining what a Satellite Accumulation Area (SAA) is. Simply stated, it's a designated area used to store hazardous waste temporarily.

Because SAAs are designed to be temporary, environmental regulations for these areas are a bit less stringent than those for 90- or 180-day hazardous waste storage areas. This does not mean they are any less important, however! Ignoring SAA requirements can lead to non-compliance with environmental regulations.

Continue on through this EVC section to find out more about the regulations and best practices surrounding SAAs.
