   Gas Cylinder Management

EPCRA > Overview

There are few environmental regulations that directly apply to the management of gas cylinders, however, there are requirements that are issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Mismanagement of even small to medium sized compressed gas cylinders have the potential to cause catastrophic events such as personal injury, fire or explosions that could result in the unintended release of chemicals or other laboratory materials to the environment.

To review proper techniques for handling and storage of Gas Cylinder visit the Best Practices section of the EVC.
