The information in this Environmental Virtual Campus ("EVC") is intended to provide an overview of some common environmental regulatory issues facing many colleges and universities. The EVC necessarily discusses these issues in general terms, because environmental regulatory requirements vary from state to state. The regulatory content is not, nor is it intended to be, exhaustive; the focus is only on environmental laws and regulations, and then only on certain generally applicable laws and regulations. Also, although the materials contain a great deal of detailed information, the text does not include every requirement of the featured laws and regulations. All regulated entities are responsible for determining what laws and regulations apply to their operations and facilities and what such regulations require. In particular, users should realize that states and localities may have different or additional regulations that are not included herein.

IT IS A CONDITION TO USE OF THE EVC THAT THE USER ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE TO THE ABSENCE OF RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY BY THE AUTHORS AND HOSTS, AND USE OF THE EVC CONSTITUTES SUCH ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND AGREEMENT BY THE USERS.
