Workshop at the Griffis Faculty Club
Weill Cornell Medical College
Exhibitor Space: Lasdon Biomedical Research Center Corridor
We welcome multiple personnel from a single college or university,
but must limit each school to three participants. If you would like
to send more than three people, contact Tom Balf. We will keep a
waiting list and we will notify you if additional space is available.
Free to C2E2 members
and invited guests, these workshops bring together campus practitioners
and vendors to explore cutting edge environmental, health and safety
topics and
the role that technology plays in achieving EH&S goals.
This year’s timely workshop will cover the following issues – with
a focus on balancing health/safety and energy conservation objectives:
• Operations and maintenance issues associated with lab ventilation systems
• Conducting risk assessments for lab ventilation needs (aka all labs are
not alike)
• Use of new technologies
• Coordinating a campus workgroup around this subject: a case study and
roundtable discussion
The format of the workshop will be interactive, including audience participation,
small group exercises and roundtable discussion. A number of vendors will be
available to showcase their products and services.
We hope you will join us for an engaging and informative workshop.
The “Chemical
Fume Hoods: Balancing Health/Safety with Energy Conservation” workshop
builds on our previous EH&S technology workshops.
