Biographies
Robin Izzo
Associate Director, EH&S, Princeton University
Robin Izzo has been involved in diverse activities with the Environmental
Health and Safety group at Princeton, including laboratory activities,
hazardous waste, theatre arts, compliance auditing, training, indoor
air and sustainability. Robin is active in the C2E2 and the Campus
Safety Health and Environmental Management Association (CSHEMA)
Ralph Stuart
Environmental Safety Manager, University of Vermont
Ralph Stuart has been in the Risk Management Department at the University
of Vermont since 1985. He has led the development of the Environmental
Safety program there since that time, including participation in the
Lab XL project for regulatory reinvention with the EPA. He has a bachelor's
degree in geologic engineering from Cornell University and a master's
degree in environmental engineering from UVM. He is a Certified Industrial
Hygienist and is active in the C2E2, American Chemical Society's Division
of Chemical Health and Safety and the UVM Environmental Council.
Erik Talley
Director, Environmental Health and Safety, Weill Cornell Medical College
Erik Talley has been the Director of Environmental Health
and Safety at Weill Cornell Medical College for the last 7 years
and has 20
years of experience in the environmental health and safety profession.
Erik is the immediate past chair of the American Chemical Society’s
Division of Chemical Health and Safety and chairs the ACS Task Force
on Laboratory Chemical and Waste Management.
Thomas Balf
Director, Campus Consortium for Environmental Excellence
Tom is Director of the Campus Consortium for Environmental Excellence
(C2E2), In this capacity, he has been extensively involved in the Lab
XL project for regulatory reinvention with EPA, and in national and
campus sustainability initiatives to estimate and reduce campus Greenhouse
Gas Emissions.
Pam Greenley
Deputy Director, Industrial Hygiene, MIT
For the last 8 years, Pam has been Deputy Director of Industrial Hygiene
at MIT. She has been involved in lab ventilation design at MIT since
1984. Pam has a Masters Degrees in Chemical Engineering and Industrial
Hygiene from Univ. of Michigan and is certified industrial hygienist.
She teaches courses in laboratory ventilation at Eagleson Institute
in Sanford Maine.
D. Randall Lacey
University Engineer, Cornell University
Randy Lacey is the University Engineer at Cornell University where
he manages a staff of 50 engineers and project managers. He has Bachelors
and Masters degrees in engineering from Cornell University. He has
designed laboratories for more than 25 years and is active in Labs21
and ASHRAE.
